Teaching skills for negotiations and business
A programme aimed at native and non-native teachers of English
and academics who wish to deliver classes on Negotiation and
English for Business and Economics to groups of international
students. It will be delivered in three distinct sections:
Teaching negotiation skills and practice of negotiations,
teaching content based language courses in the fields of business
and economics and teaching advanced students of English.
The overall scheme of the programme is based on the Business and
Negotiations Programme www.bansp.eu with a special input on
techniques used in the methodology of teaching. Participants will
have a chance not only to participate in the programme developing
business and negotiation skills but also gain a practical
perspective through preparing classes on negotiations, being
equipped with ideas on how to improve their performance and their
work will be evaluated. The course is highly intensive and
conducted by the Business and Negotiation Skills Programme
lecturers who are experienced in Teacher Training.
The participants will be expected to work not only during the
workshops provided as part of the programme but also out of the
class, preparing for peer teaching sessions which will be an
integral part of what they do.
The overall total of 40 academic hours covers lectures,
workshops, presentations and evaluation. In addition to this, the
participants will be expected to spend around 2 hours every day
from Monday to Thursday planning their classes.
Dates of the programme: 06-10 September 2010
Fee for tution: 450 GBP - every teacher enrolling through
